Skittles's Story...
I was turned into the shelter because I was sick, I had parvo. I was lucky because 4PAR decided to take me and nurse me back to health. Now that I am better, I am constantly on the go. I need to make up for time lost! I am about 6-7 months old and full of puppy energy. I just started meeting and playing with other dogs in my foster home. Most of them are pretty cool, but I still prefer my foster mom over my 4-legged friends. People wonder what I am, as I have shorter legs with a longer body and some crazy terrier like hair. I don't really know either, but we could have some fun making up new designer breeds. Maybe I am a Shih-Weanie (part Shih-Tzu part doxie), or a doxie-apso. How about this, I can be your new best friend! I am learning how to play fetch. I like to chase the ball, but haven't quite figured out the bring it back part. I am hoping to find my forever home soon. I would love to be in a home where people can spend time with me and get to know my sweet side as well as keep up with my crazy, playful side. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skittles, a Scottsdale Shih Tzu/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Dachshund for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Dachshund breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
