Darla's Story...
My name is Darla. I am about a year old and love to be with my person. I like to go on hikes, help with chores and just hang out. When I am not hanging with people, I am really good at entertaining myself with my toys. I think I may be part Australian Shepherd and maybe some Sheltie. That would explain some of my smaller features. I am full grown and only weigh about 28 pounds, but don't let that fool you. I can keep up with the best of them. I would love to go to a home that will spend time with me and take me for walks and hikes and maybe even some car rides. I love going in the car! I get along well with most other dogs, although some times I can be a little too active for older dogs. I also do ok with dog savvy cats. For more information about me and to see how awesome I really am, please call my foster mom at 480-528-3840 or 480-471-3520.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Scottsdale Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
