Badger's Story...
Badger is a wonderful dog that had a difficult past. Badger's owners surrendered him as he was somewhat territorial as their female dog had puppies and he was the father. They thought it was best for Badger to start a new chapter in his life and brought him to the shelter. Badger is approx. 2 years old and 27 lbs. As he is shy and skittish we suggest an adult only home until he develops more confidence. He likes to sleep in your bed; is described as huggable, gentle and playful. Badger loves walks, hikes and car rides. Per the former owner, Badger was rescued from an abusive situation; therefore at first he is somewhat shy until he knows you are kind and gentle, then he's more friendly and outgoing. We believe the third home should be his last and a loving, wonderful home! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Badger, a Bellingham Miniature Pinscher/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
