Shelby's Story...
Shelby is a real sweetheart! She is about 45 lbs and born in November 2011. She was picked up as a stray by the county shelter and then came down with a cold and was scheduled to be euthanized. That would have been a real tragedy because Shelby is such a nice girl! She loves to run and play! She is good with everyone - children, cats and dogs! It is a little difficult to place an exact breed on Shelby. She is a beautiful brindle color with some white. Her body style is most like a dalmatian, but obviously the coloring is not a typical dalmatian. Shelby will do best in a home with at least one other doggy friend and a yard. She loves to give kisses and cuddle up next to you! If you want a lovable, smart, energetic dog, then Shelby is the dog for you! Shelby's adoption fee is $150 and that includes spay, DAPP and rabies vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Shelby, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.

AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. Puppies often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Phoenix Dalmatian/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Dalmatian/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Dalmatian/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
