Hi everyone, my name’s Lady, or Lady Bug as my foster mom calls me. I was surrendered by my owner to the Garland Shelter back in March 2013. The reason they gave is that I was too big for their living arrangements. That’s just more to love right? The nice people at Animal Allies took one look at me and to the rescue they came! I’m a beautiful black lab mix approximately 5 years old (born 2008) and weigh 65lbs. I’m HW-, spayed, and UTD on shots. I have 3 human brothers and sisters that love me to pieces and give me tons of love. I also have 5 other dog siblings that I get along with great! My foster family doesn’t have cats, but there’s a rumor I don’t like them so we’ll just say no cats. LOL!

Because I’m such a good girl my mom doesn’t crate me at home. I have run of the house and have never torn up anything or had any accidents. I do need at least a 6 ft. fence as I can scale anything lower, although I only did this at first in my new home. My foster family thinks I was just scared of the unexpected. I love to cuddle with you on the couch, and I love belly rubs. I’m one of the sweetest girls you could ever hope to meet. Interested in meeting me? About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
