JOSEPH's Story...
Joseph is an Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 50 lbs. He is about a year old, so we gave him the birthday of 4/14/12. Joseph’s story is the typical one; a stray that the neighborhood people were feeding and he took up residence at an elderly lady’s home who was afraid she might fall with him being around. As soon as there was room in our foster system he "moved in". Joseph has been loveable from moment one. He just wants to please. Joseph plays well with his playmates and is ok on a leash. Joseph is beautifully marked with Aussie coloring mainly on his chest and front legs. This sweet boy is patiently waiting for his forever family. Joseph is an HHS dog. Regretfully we are no longer able to adopt to RI and MA applicants. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JOSEPH, a Hagerstown Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
