Sammie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, declawed, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sammie's Story...
Sammie is a petite torti cat who lost her home when her human died. She is about 12 years old and is a very petite cat at 6 pounds. She enjoys lounging around with the resident cats and dog, watching birds at the bird feeder and checking out the squirrels out the window. Sammie is pretty spry for her age. She is fine with dogs and non-agressive cats and would be fine with older respectful kids. Sammie has discovered that she really likes to play with her foster mom’s hair ties. She will bat one around all afternoon on the tile floor in the bathroom. She has been tested for FeLk and FIV and is negative for both. She had full dental cleaning and her teeth are perfect now! She is up to date on vacinations and was already spayed. Sammie has good litter box habits. She has her claws but doesn’t use them to scratch or to play. Sammie is with a 501c3 rescue. Her vet bill was over $300 due to her dental and a biopsy of a small growth at the base of her tongue. (biopsy showed low grade malignancy—slow growing). At this time Sammie is completely healthy and happy. We are asking an adoption fee of $50 for her. Any amount above that is a tax deductible donation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammie, a Osseo Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
