Pepper's Story...
This girl is quite the thrill!!!! Pepper was an owner surrender...unfortunately the owner's landlord would not let her keep her. The owner cried when leaving Pepper at the shelter and I see why!! She is the sweetest little baby EVER!!! Full of energy as to be expected as a puppy of 3 months old, Pepper is really a nice pup!! If you haven't looked at the pictures attached yet, you MUST see the ears on this girl! Never have I ever seen a dog that lays her ears the way Pepper does! It is soooo...cute!! And, she looks at you like...WHAT???!!! Haven't you ever seen a pretty puppy with ears like this????!!! She just makes you smile. She is in love with Irene - the girl that helps at the shelter - when she left the room...she cried for her. It was so sweet. I can see she would make a great companion. You can tell she was loved...now she needs a new home to be loved in!!! Can you help her find it??? Please forward and get Pepper out of the shelter!!!

Please help Pepper!!! Call the shelter 502-633-0009!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Shelbyville German Shepherd Dog/Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Blue Heeler for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Blue Heeler breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
