Goldie's Story...
Goldie is a rare female yellow/golden tabby. She came to live with her foster family in January 2013 after living outside on her own. She was someone's pet but was apparently abandoned after the owner passed away. She's had a bit of tough life - she was shot with a BB gun at some point and still has a BB lodged in her hip. In spite of her tough start, she is a sweet, sweet girl. She loves to be petted and has a very loud purr. She is also a talker and will always let you know how she is feeling and what she wants. Goldie is about 8 years old and has arthritis in her legs which makes her less active than other cats her age. She gets along with the other foster kitties at her house, but would prefer to be in a house where she was the only cat or with just one other cat. She'd do best in a quiet house with no dogs or children. If you want a calm, sweet companion who just wants to curl up in bed with you each night, Goldie is the girl for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goldie, a Waxhaw Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
