Ophelia's Story...
This little girl is non stop fun. She loves to romp and play in the sunshine! She is hanging out in the t-kennels with her brothers and sisters but would really like to come home with you to play! She is a fun loving ball of fur! Around 9 weeks old she is ready to go to her forever home. The perfect age for training. If you have questions about her please email daykahn@gmail.com. All dogs in the adoption program are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to leaving the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ophelia, a Baton Rouge Black Mouth Cur/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur/Labrador Retriever for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
