Pixie's Story...
Pixie - Beautiful Female Dachshund/Tibetan Spaniel Mix looking for her Forever Home!
Introducing Pixie! This cute little 1 year old, long haired Dachshund/Tibetan Spaniel mix is just the happiest girl. Weighing in at a mere 12 pounds she is the perfect fit for your lap. She is great with kids, and would make a wonderful addition to any family. We can't quite figure out why someone would want to give up this love button, I mean just look at how adorable. Operation Paws for Homes rescued her from a rural shelter in South Carolina, and she is adjusting well to her foster home. Pixie is available for adoption- She is UTD on all shots, spayed, and dewormed. She can't wait to meet you! Pixie is fostered in Baltimore, MD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Frederick Dachshund/Tibetan Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Tibetan Spaniel for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Dachshund/Tibetan Spaniel dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Tibetan Spaniel breeders who help with Dachshund/Tibetan Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
