Josie's Story...
Josie is a very nice girl! She is affectionate, but not overly pushy. She is about a year old and 42 lbs. Josie was rescued from the Indian Reservation where she was picked up by the police as a stray. She is a very well mannered girl who is house-trained, uses the dog door and walks well on a leash. Josie loves kids and gets along well with most other dogs. She does not like it when other dogs get near her when she is chewing on a bone. Josie hasn't been around cats, but she is a nice mellow girl whom I don't think would bother with the cats. If you want a lovable, smart dog, then Josie is the girl for you! Josie's adoption fee is $150 and that includes spay, DAPP and rabies vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Josie, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.
AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. Puppies often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever/Carolina Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Carolina Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Carolina Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Carolina Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Carolina Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
