My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Trixie. I'm a 17-18 pound female chihuahua/terrier mix. I'm six to seven years old and full of spunk, too!
My favorite part of the day is when my foster mom comes home. I get so excited that I just have to dance with my whole body! Outside is still a little scary, so short walks are fine with me. I like meeting all my new neighbors though, people and animals alike. I get along with everyone, but nothing beats the pleasure of hanging out at home on the couch with my favorite humans, for some cuddles and maybe a good tummy rub.
I'm also very food motivated and eager-to-please. My foster mom even calls me a canine Einstein! I'm already learning to sit and stay, so the sky's the limit when it comes to teaching me new tricks. If you've got the time for training, I've got what it takes to perform!
I can't wait to be a part of a real, forever family with a couch they'll let me call my own! If you think you would like to meet me, please call 225-270-5653, or better yet, email sguidry41@cox.net.

You might also be able to catch Neisha at our Dog Adoption House at 8476 Highland Rd! The hours are M-F: 11:30-5pm / Sat & Sun: 11-3pm! However, be sure contact Neisha's foster home first at to make they will be there on that day.

We have an application process to ensure that each dog and family is the right match. All applications must be approved prior to adoption. If you would like to start the application process to find out if you would be a good match, below are the instructions to our online application.
