Ava's Info...

Ava's Story...
Ava was an owner surrender. She came into rescue an unruly young dog with no manners. She has since blossomed into a sweet overly willing to please pup. She does well in a crate, knows basic commands and just wants to know that she is loved. She is so willing to please she can be taught just about anything. And if that wasn't enough she's a clown! She has to bring a stick on her walks and will carry it the entire time. She plays fetch with herself tossing the
Ball in the air and is a delight to watch. She does better with dogs her size or larger and as long as its a cat that will stand their ground doesn't mind them. Good with kids she currently fosters with an 8 and 9 year old we would recommend children at least 6 and up for her. She also needs someone who will be committed to continuing her training

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ava, a Clay Chesapeake Bay Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Clay, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Clay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue.
