Misty's Story...
Poor misty was adopted as a puppy then returned when she was 1 because her family was expecting a new baby. Way too often we hear this and it is so sad. She was then adopted again only to be returned. After she started showing signs of kennel stress we where asked to help her. She is shy with new people but once she warms up is a sweet girl. She does fine with make dogs but doesn't want to share the spotlight with another girl doggie! She does ok w children 10 and up but smaller ones make her nervous. She is house broken and crate trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Clay American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Clay, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Clay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clay paves the way for another one to be saved.
