Meggie's Story...
Meggie had a rough start in life when she was dropped off at a rural shelter after all her brothers and sisters had been given away and she was the last one left. So scared and all alone. Luckily, we scooped her out of there and she has been in a wonderful foster home and is now ready to go to her forever home. No matter how cute they are, all puppies take a huge commitment of patience, time and energy - in a word, commitment! If you are ready to bring a puppy into your home, complete an application at to get started.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meggie, a Richmond Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
