May's Story...
May is a super affectionate, approximately 5 year old, rottie mix who is spayed and is current on her vaccinations.

May came to POET in rough shape, heartworm positive and with a deer carcass stuck in her belly. But she is now healed, happy and ready for her forever family.

May would do best in a home with patient owners as she is very sensitive and loves her people whole heartedly. She just wants to be loved, non-stop. She didn't know what a toy was or how to play until she went into foster. Now she happily plays with her foster brother.

She has come such a long way.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

May, a Garden City Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
