Button's Story...
BUTTON
Born @ September 2011

Hello, my name is Button. I am friendly and love any attention that you can possibly give me...all I want is a home of my own!!

I may come off as a bit shy at first ~ you see I lived on the streets for the first year of my life; when you have to scavenge to eat and run to survive, you tend to be a little tentative with new people.
I love to sit around and watch TV with my foster parents ~ I love being the center of attention and really don't like sharing with others ~ I might do better in a single cat household.

When I found my foster parents I was homeless and pregnant and they took me in and helped me raise my babies...once my babies were born, I did not like any other pets near my babies. This was probably just my hormones kicking into high gear!!

My foster parents love me but their cats already have their hearts and well, they were there first. I am litter trained and love playing but I need someone with patience to keep teaching me to play gently ~ I can get a bit rough at times so a home without small children would be preferred. I am learning all my house manners and have shown really good progress...I still have some learning to do : )

As with all Forgotten Felines cats for adoption, Button is spayed and she is current on her shots and tests. For more detailed information on her, please contact Debbie at 256-864-2993 or 256-656-7197.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Button, a Capshaw Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Capshaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Capshaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Capshaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Capshaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Capshaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
