Ruger's Story...
~ approx DOB 3/14/12

Ruger was a sweet domestic kitten who was dumped at a shooting range; left to fend for himself and beg someone to take him home. He was emaciated and days from dying when a nice man saw him and couldn’t leave him there (he would rub on the legs of folks begging to be taken care of). THANKFULLY! Thus named Ruger since he came from a shooting range. He just wants to be adopted to a forever home where he will never have to fend for himself ever again! Would prefer he goes to a home with a ‘sibling’ or an age-appropriate playmate but check with foster mom for exceptions. Some might do better than others.

Like most kittens his age he is quite playful and energetic...but what a sweet and loving soul lies beneath that gorgeous exterior. Ruger is a lover...wants to be petted and loved upon just as much as played with. Should make a great all around companion cat ~ gets along well with other cats, loves people and should do fine with a cat-loving dog.

As with all Forgotten Felines cats for adoption, Ruger is neutered...he is current on his shots and tests. Need more detailed his foster mom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruger, a Capshaw Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Capshaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Capshaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Capshaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Capshaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Capshaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
