Minnie's Story...
Minnie was surrendered to a local animal shelter by her elderly owner who could no longer care for her which is very sad because Minnie is elderly herself although she is very healthy and full of life. She holds her beautiful head up high and prances around like a little princess. She plays with two other small dogs in her foster home and they all cuddle up together in a crate and sleep, so sweet. She gets along very well with dogs and cats alike. Minnie has many years of life ahead of her and is now searching for her forever home, a home where she will be cherished and provided for as she moves on with the rest of her life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Sherman Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Sherman, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Sherman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman paves the way for another one to be saved.
