Roux's Story...
Roux is a beautiful 9 month old, 55 lb, female pit mix that was dumped in a shelter because her family could no longer keep her. She grew up in a home with 2 kids (5yr old & 12 yr old) and got along with them great. Roux is a such lovebug, and so desperately wants nothing more than to be part of a loving family. Roux is full of energy and loves to play and be active. She would be perfect as a jogging or running partner. Roux had a training session and her trainer tells us that she is an excitable young pup, but has calmed down quite a lot and is learning to focus on structured walks and direction. Her foster mom tells us that Roux is reacting well to her training and becoming more relaxed and balanced. Roux will sit patiently and quietly until it is her turn to get some hugs, pets, kisses or any form of affection from her human. She gets along great with other dogs, kids and even CATS. Roux is housebroken, spayed and UTD on shots. Please contact AmsterDog 917-689-8414 meet this special girl. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roux, a New York American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in New York, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
