We have to tell you that Tandy is the most charming chocolate girl we have ever met! Tandy was pulled from a local shelter along with Andi, who we think might be her daughter. She is a grand lady about 6 or 7 years old and 60 pounds. Tandy may have a little dusting of "sugar" on her face, but don't let that fool you. Tandy is no old lady!
The best part of adopting a dog Tandy's age is that she is trustworthy enough to be left out of her crate while her foster mom is away from the house. No accidents, no getting into the trash and no chewing of things that are not hers.
Tandy has had all of her medical care, which included being spayed and having her pearly whites shined up. Tandy is still a little too thin, but slowly putting on good weight with high quality food. Her coat is still sunburned, but she is already looking better with good food, and good brushing. In no time, she'll shine like a new penny!
Tandy's perfect home would be someone who can spend some time with her, will take her for walks and make her a member of the family. Her favorite activity is burying her head in your lap and getting a good scratch. She loves the cushy life and takes advantage of the couch and the dog beds every chance she gets. She has not had much practice walking on a leash, but we are working on that.
