Speckles's Story...
This little girl looks like she has a speckles of paint across her muzzle. She also has the a blue "sparkle speckle" in her right eye. This cute little girl is definitely one of a kind! She is a little shy but gradually warms up, she is just a little overwhelmed with all the noise at the shelter. She is in t-kennels hanging out with her roommate Wendy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Speckles, a Baton Rouge Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
