found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
Tiki came to us as a little kitten and had a virus that made her wobble just a little bit. To compensate, she picked up her cute way of walking which looks just like a Hawaiian dancer, hence her name. The virus passed, but she kept her gait. And to top things off? She doesn't know she's a cat, and no amount of trying to convince her that she is a cat has worked. You say her name? She answers with a, "hummm?" And her meows sound less like a cat and more like a person trying to mimic a cat's meow. Too cute!
She is affectionate, curious and when happy and feeling frisky? She splays all her little toes and stomps around to get your attention. It's pretty hilarious. She is amazing as cats go, and has been a rescue favorite. So much, that we haven't ever wanted to place her and kept her as a personal cat. But since the husband has lost his mind and his mid-life crisis included abandoning the wife and all his cats? Tiki is lonely and confused as I try to work late hours to keep from losing my home and displacing cats who don't have a chance at ever being adopted.
Tiki deserves better than to be alone so much and only get a few minutes of the attention she craves. So this is her ideal home: she likes to eat, so she's a little chubby - so she needs activity, other pets and gentle people to play with would be wonderful! She loves toys, naps in the sun, and is an indoor-only cat. She is sensitive to dust, so better low-dust litter and higher quality cat food will keep her healthy and happy. Tiki likes to sleep on the bed with you, will greet you when you come home, come sit with you in the bathroom and rub on your legs, and talk to you to ask you about your day. Her coat is very short like a seal, so a slicker brush makes her feel oh-so-good and makes her splay her toes. She loves her scratching post and won't bother furniture and will fetch poms and chase a laser pointer.
Tiki is an amazing cat, so sweet, playful, and her spots are adorable. Were my situation different? I would keep her as she has been a trouper and has come to comfort me through my recent tears. But I need to think about how I can give her the best life where she can receive the maximum love and attention with a family who can appreciate her curious and adoring nature.
Can you give my Tiki-boo the best home? I ask an adoption fee of $20 and I will do a home visit. There are tears as I write this, but I know this is for the best. If you'd like to meet my Tiki, please text 940.482.0025.
