Karmel's Story...
I\'m sweet but a bit shy. I was trapped in a feral colony and I am slowly coming to realize that people are actually pretty nice. I love to lie under a cover on my couch all day. When you lift it up and find me, I want you to rub my belly and my chest. I love it and will turn upside down for you and purr. I like a quiet house since I am now learning to trust people. I like other quiet kitties too. I would rather snuggle next too but I am a little timid if you try to hold me. I think I\'ve got lots of potential to be a really great companion. I get along with men and women both. Do you have the patience and love to help me learn to trust? I\'m a young brown tabby neutered male. I am negative for FELV/FIV, spayed or neutered and had one (if adult) or two (if kitten) distemper shot(s). and a rabies shot if old enough

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karmel, a Colorado Springs Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
