Bates Pup's Story...
My name is Bates and I am a Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Yes, I am quite cute. Here's the story: My mom, another Chocolate Labrador was picked up and taken to an East Tennessee shelter where she waited for her family. No one claimed her so a nice lady adopted her from the shelter. However, she did not know that my mom was pregnant - very pregnant. So, to make a long story short, she got 10 Chocolate Labrador Retrievers! That's right - she had 9 puppies, all chocolate, all pure bred Labrador Retrievers. My siblings have all been adopted - so it's just me! And I am the sweet one! I do like to play with my foster siblings - boy are they fun. I am healthy, happy and love people A LOT! My home has to have a stay at home or work at home parent and another dog so I can continue my social training. Is that you? Come on - I am adorable!!!

NOTE: Adopt A Golden Knoxville rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in your area. These dogs are fostered in private homes in East Tennessee. Therefore, it is not possible to meet the dogs and pups prior to their adoption. They are brought up north on a USDA transport

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bates Pup, a Danbury Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
