Rigsby's Story...
Roux was brought in the shelter with his 7 brothers and sisters when They were only a week old. His eyes nor ears were open. He was immediately placed in foster care and bottle fed. Now at 4 1/2 weeks eating solid food and drinking formula from a bottle he is looking for his forever home. Though he won't be able to go to it for at least another 2-3 weeks, around the middle of April. Rigsby was the runt of the litter but has quickly caught up to the rest of his brothers and sisters. He likes to be right next to my children and I rather than adventure off like the other pups. He is perfectly content playing with a toy in our laps. Probably because as the smallest he always got a little extra attention and now he just expects to be the center of attention! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rigsby, a Baton Rouge Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
