Tori's Story...
Hello! My name is Tori. I'm a lovable little girl eagerly awaiting her furever home. When I first came to the START II shelter, I was really nervous. It took me a few days to get adjusted. Once I did, I became one of the adored cats here. I get really happy when people pay attention to me. I start "making biscuits" everywhere in my cage! One day I even tried "making biscuits" in my food dish. That made some of the volunteers giggle. I'm very playful, too! I love playing with stuffed mice, especially if they're infused with catnip. The stuff drives me batty. My ideal furever home consist of people who like to spoil me and spend time with me. I'm very affectionate and greet my friends with lots of kisses!

Tori is current on her vaccinations, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. If you are interested in meeting Tori, please call Donna at (201) 873-7533 or email startkayne@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tori, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
