Gypsy's Story...
Hi! My name is Gypsy. I'm a mild-mannered girl eagerly awaiting my new furever home! For the most part, I'm pretty quiet. I enjoy talking to volunteers every now and then, but not excessively. One of my favorite possessions right now is my bed. While I understand I can't take my bed with me to my new home, I'm hoping that my new furever family will provide me with several plush beds scattered throughout the home. That way, I can see which napping place I like best! I love being around people. When volunteers spend time petting and talking to me, I roll onto my back to get a gentle belly rub. Sometimes I get so happy that I make biscuits in my bed! My ideal furever home will spoil me with lots of love and attention and enjoy spending time with me.

Gypsy is current on her vaccinations, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative FIV and feline leukemia. If you are interested in meeting Gypsy, please call Donna at (201) 873-7533 or email startkayne@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gypsy, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
