Piper's Story...
Piper was rescued along with her siblings from a high kill facility on the day that they were all to be euthanized. Her rescuer was at the facility to pull another litter of puppies and could not leave beautiful Piper and her brother and sister behind. So she rescued them as well and now they live with her and her husband where they are learning to be fantastic dogs! They go for daily leash walks as well as have daily off leash play time. Piper is excellent on the leash, and when off leash will come when called. She is learning basic commands (and picks them up VERY quickly). She is a sweet snuggler and playmate.

Piper is 4 months old and weighs about 30 pounds (as of 3/28). She will be ready to join her new family in May. If you think that you have the perfect new home for this very special girl, please send us an email!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Carlisle Great Dane/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Pointer for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Great Dane/Pointer puppy from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Pointer breeders who help with Great Dane/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
