This cat is a hunk - 18 pounds of solid muscle. ! A gorgeous boy.
When you see him you for the first time you say "WOW look at that cat !! " My pictures in no way do him justice. He is a loverboy too.
He loves attention and all humans. He is goodnatured, agreeable and smart. Just what you would expect from a big Maine Coon boy.

His family lost their home says the owner surrender form so he came to me. He was previously neutered and is in great health. I don't know if he lived with children but I do know he lived with one or more male cats and the owner said he did not get along with males. I would like to set him up in a home as an only cat. or maybe in a home with a submissive female. I haven't seen any unfriendliness from him towards other cats but he is reserved with them. Maybe other cats were uncomfortable with his size. If you look at the last photo below taken in the shelter you can get a sense of how big he is as he fills the shelf end to end. His last owner suggested also that he not be adopted into a household with a dog. This boy is more than enough by himself to fill all your pet needs.

Another unusual thing about Maverick is the type of fur he has. He has a big coat of extra silky fine fur. Really nice feeling fur in very vivid black and white and silver colors.I love the tiny bit of tan on his face.

He will be a wonderful companion for a lucky adopter.

He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
