Cheyenne's Story...
Poor Cheyenne got surrendered to animal control by her owners pregnant. We are looking to find her a home or a rescue before she delivers. She is short and we are not sure of her breed mix, but certainly a great size. she is very sweet and submissive even in her state. This do will be a grateful loving pet for the family or individual who saves her. She would love to have you visit and take her outdoors to see sunshine and go for a walk. . . the Lincoln County Shelter has a great adoption friendly interaction room you can take your other pet or your family to visit with them. The dogs at the shelter could be housebroken, they could be great with other animals even cats, it's just something they dont' know because they are kept in small pens. We find that many we take and foster are already housebroken, and good with other animals or learn quickly to be. The shelter is at 650 John Howell Memorial DRive ,(off Wilma Sigmon Rd) in Lincolnton. It is newly remodeled too. Hours of operation for adopting are 11 to 4:30 , Mon-sat. Ph: 704 736 4125. you can adopt the same day and the dog then goes to the vet to be spayed or neutered and you pick up at the vets. the shelter does not accept credit cards. For only 85.00 you get the spay or neuter, rabies vaccines, disease preventative vaccination a worming, a microchip and even 30 days of free pet health insurance. You cannot beat such a agreat deal anywhere. don't delay, these dogs dont have forever in this shelter which is forced to euthanize due to pet over population. ! For more info, contact "tritobin@charter.net" . The shelter has had her for a whle and she really needs sout asap..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheyenne, a Lincolnton Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Fox Terrier (Smooth) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Fox Terrier (Smooth) for sale in Lincolnton, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Fox Terrier (Smooth) dog from a breeder in Lincolnton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincolnton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincolnton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Fox Terrier (Smooth) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Fox Terrier (Smooth) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincolnton paves the way for another one to be saved.
