My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the cute little Buzz, well not so little at almost 40 pounds! Buzz was rescued last year from an Eastern Washington shelter. He is estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old. As most know the chances of seniors getting out of the shelter are pretty slim, but the chances become even slimmer when they have chronic medical issues. Buzz's ears and teeth were just a mess! Buzz is a special one here at HTHH as he does have some special needs. You see, Buzz is deaf and there is no correcting that. No one is quite sure if he was born that way or the chronic ear problems not being cared for caused it. Buzz has been in rescue for over six months as we have been dealing with his ears and trying very hard to get the chronic infections under control. Now don't let the age thing scare you off as Buzz is an active guy who loves to go out on walks and new adventures. We are convinced he has a few more great years in him and would just love to share those with you! He is definitely a people dog and once he bonds with you, he will become your new best friend! He will follow you around the house and wants to know where you are at all the time! When you leave and do not take him with you, he will still be waiting for you at the window on the back of the couch when you get home. Buzz does very well in the car and loves to go for rides! We do advise on a home with no smaller children as he is a senior, and is completely deaf. We also require a fenced yard, or to be on a leash at all times since he has no recall for obvious reasons :) Now Buzz does know some hand signals like "out" "up" "down" and he gives high fives, and sits for a treat nicely! So if you are just looking for your next best friend and companion, look no more! You have found it in this wonderful senior! Please be aware that his new home will have to stay on top of the ear issues and see the vet regularly for them. If interested in meeting this wonderful senior guy, please inquire within and someone will get back to you shortly!
