Buffy's Story...
S/F, Shepherd/Chow Mix, 7 Years, 55 lbs.

Meet Special ME!! The one and only Buffy! I am a very good natured girl who loves to be around other dogs and enjoys the company of children. I’m also fine with cats! How ‘bout that for a Total Package? I’m a true family doggie who is always ready for a nice walk or a ride in the car. If you are over the age of 40 years, you can probably recognize me as everyone’s Shepherd/Chow mix from “back in the day.” I’m an old-school type gal with all the great traits of a truly wonderful companion. I was (reluctantly) given up by my previous Daddy because his new wife thought that 3 dogs were “too much to handle.” What? Why was I the one chosen to go? I have always been a faithful and loving friend to all of my family! MaxFund is as puzzled as I am. I couldn’t be any sweeter, self-effacing and devoted. Because I’m now a middle-aged Lady, I’m also available for foster care! If you choose to foster me, all of my medical costs (should they arise) will be covered by MaxFund. Care to meet me? Want more information? Contact Amy at Take me home! I was an innocent party who was left on my own through no fault of my own. And still, I remain loving, respectful, and sweet beyond compare.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buffy, a Denver Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow for sale in Denver, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
