Rosie - character!'s Story...
Rosie is a 4 y/o Tri-colored beagle who is a bit "chunky" at 35 lbs. and would love to have a walking buddy to help her shed a few. She has started losing some of her extra pounds with yard patrols and mad dashes after pesky squirrels, but would love to go on walks with someone who has the time to take her out.

Rosie has access to a doggie door and loves being out in the yard and spending the day watching the trees for furry invaders. She gets along well with all her canine buddies and will occasionally join in a game of chase or tug of war, but really does take her job of guarding the yard seriously! Rosie is fully house broken and never needs to be kenneled. She has never gotten into anything that did not belong to her. Rosie has a nice bay, but does not use it much. She even chases squirrels quietly.

Rosie is a sweet and loving girl who enjoys time spent with her humans after her "work" is finished for the day! Rosie walks well on a leash and is gentle around small children. She will make a good companion for any type home. As long as you have trees in your yard, this beautiful beagle will be happy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie - character!, a Houston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
