Sherlock's Story...
This handsome fellow is Sherlock. He is about 1 year old and weighs about 30 lbs. He is a thin boy and has trouble keeping on weight. Sherlock was rescued from a high kill shelter where he was very depressed and dispondant. He is such a loving sweet boy, but needs someone to show him love and help him build his confidence. Sherlock get along well with other dogs, is good on a leash, crate trained and is doing well in the house. Sherlock, as is typical of his breed, does not do well with cats. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherlock, a Albany Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Albany, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
