Emma's Story...
Emma is a great younger dog. She was born in early 2011. She actually was born at the Haven but returned in early June 2012 because her owners had given up trying to keep her behind a fence. She is an escape artist and needs something like her own large kennel, some chicken wire along the bottom of the fence so she can't dig out, etc. Emma is too sweet of a dog to stay at the Haven the rest of her life. Surely there is someone out there that can figure out a way to keep her safe in a yard. Or maybe there is someone that lives out in the country with a whole bunch of acreage for her to run on and no chance of getting run over/into trouble with neighbors! Come out and meet Emma won't be sorry you did!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a Lubbock Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Lubbock, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lubbock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lubbock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lubbock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lubbock paves the way for another one to be saved.
