DSH, 2 yrs old, Brown Tabby, Female
I am 'Fifi' and I am a 2-year old brown tabby. I would be happy to be your new best friend. I am pretty lovable, you know! I like to explore--like your home (I mean our home). I would love to check out every little corner of our abode, and find the best spots for a kitty nap. Do we have treats at our house, or do we need to pick some up on the way home? Come out to the shelter and get to know me--I am sure we will reach a mutual agreement and be friends forever and ever.
You also need to know that my fees have been WAIVED if you bring in a donation to the shelter. Just pick up something (or somethings) from our wish list and bring for the pets still here, and we can go home together!!
More information about Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter
We are an animal shelter that cares for approximately 1,000 animals per year. We work with Mahaska County and the City of Oskaloosa, IA to provide animal control services and we also work through the Mahaska Humane Society to educate and promote responsible pet ownership as well as low cost spay/neuter services for low income pet owners.
The public can visit our adoptable pets at the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter any time during normal business hours. We are open to the public Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.
Potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption application in which questions regarding responsible pet ownership are asked. Once approved the adopter is allowed to adopt and must pay an adoption fee which varies based on the age and species of the animal being adopted. At the time of adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
