Eclair's Story...
Hi, my name is Éclair and do I ever have a tale to tell. I was rescued by a kindly person after I was toss out of a car at a horse barn out in the country. Little did I know of the perils of being in such unfamiliar surroundings. I was very emaciated so a trip to the vet was in store for me. It was determined that I was about 6 months old but you would never know that as I weighed only 3 lbs. My beautiful long hair was very matted and I was just a dirty mess. Being the little diva that I am the entire situation had me rather distressed. I was treated to the entire spa experience once I arrived at my new foster’s home. I received the royal treatment, a super bath, hair blown dry and of course nails. My transformation was astounding. I am a knock out little long haired tortie that has so much love to give. Throughout this entire process I have remained calm and very sweet. Now that I feel better I have decided that I am very much a lap kitty and take every opportunity to find a welcoming lap. I truly love to be pampered and the center of attention. I would love to find that forever home where I can be a cherished member of your family.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask my foster mom Connie all about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eclair, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
