Pet description: Oscar is a sweet little guy who was dumped into the parking lot at humane society. He was too shy to go up for adoption there, so he came into rescue with us. He is a very loving little guy who can entertain himself for hours with his toys. He wants to play with other kitties so he's good with dog-friendly cats. He's also been tried out around small dogs and has done well. He is potty trained, leash trained, and will sleep in a crate (although of course he's rather cuddle in bed with you!). He will nip at very young kids who are overly touchy (if they grab at him) but would be okay with older ones who understand how a small dog needs space at times. Please submit an application to adopt him!

$150 adoption fee includes: *Spay/neuter *Current vaccinations *Microchip *Preventative deworming

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Chandler Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Chandler, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
