Bagheera's Story...

Bagheera is just a little sweetheart. An uber-sociable kitty. Born July 24, 2012, she has been with her current foster for several months now. On arrival it took her all of 15 minutes to make herself completely at home. She loves entertainment...toys, string, boxes, water taps, pens, laser lights and grocery bags (the crinklier the better), watching birds and squirrels through the window, and of course, people. When company arrives through the door she's right there." Yeah! More humans to play with me!" "More affection!" A great game for her is to chase her humans around the house for treats, and she asks to be chased in return. She brings us toys and asks to play.

Bagheera is very gentle with her claws and comes into the kitchen in the morning to wrestle human legs with a huge bear hug - but with her forearms only. Also loves to give her fosters' heads a pat and a hug when given the chance. She always follows from room to room to see what's up and settles down for an affectionate snuggle on her foster in the evenings.

This kitten is preoccupied with food and is interested in most everything. Any sound of movement in the kitchen brings her running. A clever cat, Bagheera has learned to fetch her favourite feather toy and is being leash trained. Amazingly, she doesn't mind the harness at all and is happy to wear it for several days at a time.

This kitten would be eager to have a young feline playmate for company throughout the day. She really enjoyed a friend's kitten that came on a "play date" visit recently. Was exposed to dogs as a young kitten and did fine with them. I would say that gentle children would also be fine.

Great kitty....she always uses her litterbox and is good with furniture. Bagheera is the perfect combination of playful, cuddly and well behaved. This sweet munchkin really deserves a special home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bagheera, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
