Jillie's Story...

Jillie has been with us for a month now and has settled in wonderfully. When she first came to us she wouldn’t even come out unless it was night time, but now she is out all day long. She loves to play with her little toy mice; when she jumps/hops around, it's absolutely adorable! At night when we watch TV, she plunks down on our laps looking for some love, then watches her own TV (the aquarium). Jillie also knows how to use the litter box.

Jillie loves her treats. Just like in the commercials, she will come running when you shake the bag. She has the sweetest little "meow" when she says hello and the most beautiful golden eyes. She will allow you to pick her up but this is not her favorite thing yet. We lie on the bed together, and she just keeps rolling around for more love. She has taken to sleeping on the bed with me at night time.

Jillie is looking for her forever home...and it could be with you! She is perfect for any household without dogs or children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jillie, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
