Dino's Story...
Dino, born in summer of 2010 is 10 pounds of pure joy. Having lost his home due to economics he is waiting in his foster home with CRSD for just the right family to make his life whole again. A Maltese/Chihuahua mix he is loving, loyal and very smart. His coat does need grooming, but he does very well with mild brushing and his bath. He has adjusted very well at his foster home for a dog that just lost a family and other doggie friends. If you think you could give this sweet potty trained boy the forever home he deserves please fill out our application and email in so we can contact you. His adoption fee is $250 which of course helps cover the costs of medically providing for dogs in an ALL volunteer rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dino, a San Diego Maltese/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Chihuahua breeders who help with Maltese/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
