I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with kids.
Bo - in Maine's Story...
We are working with a local veterinarian to help re-home Bo into an "only dog" home. Bo is a 3.5 year old mixed breed neutered male 67 pounds. We really are unsure as to his breed make-up (take a guess!). He is up to date on vaccinations and is in good health. He was originally adopted from the south and has had trouble integrating into the family of other dogs. He is fearful in some situations and defensive in others, so it ends up with him acting aggressive towards the other dogs. Since being surrendered he has made very good (amazing, really!) progress but he needs constant monitoring around other dogs. He is fine in the crate but after a short time his foster family found that he does not need to be crated in a "doggy proof" area because he is not a chewer and never had an accident inside. He is great on leash and is great with kids. Bo is on anxiety medication, monitored by his vet, and it is an inexpensive monthly cost to keep this in place as he is calmer and better with other dogs when he is on it. We don't have any info about cats.
If you are considering adding a single dog to your home, Bo might just be the one. Contact us today for an application!
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org.
Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
Thank you for considering rescue!
