My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Jeffrey. Did you know my name means Peaceful Gift? I think that describes me perfectly. Even though I’m rather large, you’ll discover I am peaceful, calming and soothing, especially when I purr and my whole body rumbles. You can come home after a stressful day, and I’ll sit in your lap and help you relax. That’s the gift part. And you don’t even have to pay me any therapist fees. Just give me a few hugs and kisses, and maybe a treat or two. We’ll have a beautiful, symbiotic relationship. Do you know what symbiotic means? It means that we’ll have a close and hopefully long-term, mutually beneficial relationship. See, I’m not only a handsome boy, but I’m smart too!

Every “patient” would want to know a few things about their therapist, so I’ve made a list for you. First, why am I here? Sadly, my person died and left me with his neighbor. The neighbor had me for a few weeks but couldn't keep me. Although I have had to grieve the passing of my person, I am still ready to assist you. Even though I love attention from people, I’m a little nervous around other cats. Maybe I’m just shy and not good at small-talk. I like small gatherings where I can get to know everyone at my own pace. Some people are like that too, right?

I’m athletic, so I’d like to have some cat toys to play with, and maybe some cat nip too. I like to keep an eye on the squirrels and birds, so a cat tree near a window or some nice window sills so I could look outside would be nice. I’d also like a cozy place where I could curl up in the sun to meditate. It helps me rejuvenate for our next therapy session.

So I think you should come in for your first therapy visit soon. No appointment necessary!
