If you had seen me when I first came to MaxFund, you would have thought that I looked kind of raggedy. But now my fur has grown back and my scars have disappeared. My outside matches my inside. On the inside, I am beautiful and strong and brave. My name is Tails, and I think whomever named me didn’t know how to spell because I don’t have more than one tail, but boy do I have a lot of tales! Oh, the stories I could tell you. But, I bet you guessed that by just looking at me.
I have tested positive for FIV. So what does that mean for you? Not much. FIV is not transmittable to dogs or humans. I can only transmit to cats via a penetrating bite. So I am generally pretty safe around cats too. It means if you have no other cats, I am definitely the perfect guy for you. But, I probably shouldn’t be with someone who smokes.
I was brought in as an injured stray. I even had a big gash across my neck, and I was very skinny! You might think that with all I’ve gone through, I would be sullen or resentful. But I’m not. I am a kind and gentle boy. I hope you won’t be nervous about petting me, because I love the attention and it makes me feel warm and loved. Just a little rubbing on the top of my head, and I’ll start purring up a storm.
