Spunky's Story...
Spunky!!! Yep, that's me. Spunky's my name and getting love is my game. I am a sweet, friendly, loving cat waiting here at the MaxFund for my perfect home. When you think of the name "Spunky," you probably think "wild" and "energetic." Well, I am very playful but definitely not wild and crazy. Perhaps I was in my younger years, but I am a mature kitty now so I focus more on getting love and pets and not on running crazy around the house.

How did I end up in this place? Sadly, my people were moving to another state. I had lived with them for my entire life so I honestly don't understand why I couldn't go with them. To my knowledge, other states welcome cats. But I guess it was not to be, so they brought me here to find another home. They said I like warmth and that I am very friendly. They said I'm cautious of dogs.

I am declawed if that is something you care about. I suspect given my gentle nature and lack of front claws, I would be good around kids. Here at the MaxFund, I have displayed my playfulness with strings and feather toys. Oh a feather in front of me, and I am all over it! Despite my mature age, I will lunge for it and hunt that feather down like the best of them! Of course, I adore petting and love. If you rub my body from my face to my tail, I will immediately turn around so you can do it all over again. That is the best. I will even flop around and stick my butt in the air for more! Why don't you come down here and experience the joys of petting me for yourself?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spunky, a Denver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Denver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
