Millie's Story...
Millie is about a year and a half old and weighs about 12 lbs. She is shy at first but very sweet. She and her sister were turned into the local high kill shelter together. Millie was extremely attached to her sister so we seperated them for a time so Millie could develope her own personality. She loves to play with other dogs, especially little puppies. She is sweet and gentle. Millie is housetrained with a doggie door and fenced yard and she will also use pads in an emergency ( if door is closed or it's raining) Millie would like a home with someone that is retired or works from home so they can spend time with her in quiet lifestyle. If you are interested in more information about Millie, you can contact lorainecm@comcast.net or you may paste the following link into your browser.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Harrisonburg Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
