Peapod's Story...
Peapod is a dainty and sweet little girl looking for her forever home. She and five older female dogs were turned into a nearby county shelter by a breeder. We are not sure if Peapod ever had a litter, but we are sure that she never got much attention the first year of her life. She has not been out in the world much and is very cautious to try new things. She is a bit timid but once she trusts you she is quite the spunky little lass! She loves our cats and enjoys walking around the yard with them. Leash skills are coming along. She does fine with other dogs but we have not seen her with children. Small rambunctious youngsters would most likely scare her. Peapod would love to meet you and see if she would be a good fit in your family. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all of her shots. She weighs 5 lbs. and is one year old. Peapod is crate-trained and housebroken. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peapod, a Mocksville Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Mocksville, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Mocksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mocksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mocksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mocksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
