Irish's Story...
Irish came to us on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. We are the lucky ones also to have been able to help get her out of a nearby county shelter. What a sweetheart she is and such a joy to have around! She loves our cats and enjoys playing with the other dogs. She walks well on leash and is crate-trained and housebroken. Irish weighs only 11 lbs and has the long body of a dachshund. Her face shape and beautiful brindle coloring indicate there is a terrier in her heritage somewhere. She is a quiet girl and would do fine in an apartment or townhome setting. Irish is a year old. She is eager to please and is a very warm and lovable young girl. Irish has been spayed and microchipped. She is up to date on all of her shots and is heartworm negative. She is on monthly heartworm and flea and tick preventatives. If you would like to meet Irish please complete the adoption application at then call (336) 251-8877. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Irish, a Mocksville Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Mocksville, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Mocksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mocksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mocksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mocksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
